USTA ADULT LEAGUE STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS HELD IN CHARLOTTE
On June 23-26, Charlotte welcomed over 900 players on 88 teams to compete in the 40 & Over USTA Adult League State Championships. Matches were scheduled on over 75 courts across nine area tennis facilities. Feedback from the Tournament staff and players has been extremely positive about their experience. A total of 33 teams represented Charlotte and 10 teams emerged as Champions in the 18, 40 and 55 & Over Adult League State Championships! TENNIS ON TAP FOR PLAYERS AGE 21 TO 30
The Charlotte Tennis Association is serving up a new program for players age 21 to 30iish. This program is all about having fun, making new friends and improving your tennis game while you’re at it! The early summer session of “Tennis on Tap” is underway at Alexander Street Park on Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. CHARLOTTE TEAM ADVANCING TO JTT SECTIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Congratulations to the 14&U Intermediate team playing out of Russell Tennis Center, on winning the National Championships Junior Team Tennis Qualifier event that was held in Raleigh this past weekend. The team which is coached by Patrick Mlauzi will travel to compete in the Sectional Championships being held in Macon, GA in August, to contend for a spot at the National Championships being held in Lake Nona, FL in October.
