About Us

The Charlotte Tennis Association was founded over 30 years ago, in 1991, as a non-profit organization with 501(c)3 status. The organization is associated with the USTA, which is the governing body for the sport of tennis in the United States. As such, the Charlotte Tennis Association proudly supports and administers USTA State, Sectional and National programs and initiatives; and operates other unique programs that serve the Charlotte community.

Strategic direction and policy are determined by the Board of Directors and a team of professional staff carries out the daily operations. The Charlotte Tennis Association works closely with the USTA, local tennis organizations and clubs and local municipalities to respond to the needs for the tennis community.
