In celebration of Black History Month, throughout February on USTA.com, the USTA will celebrate the long history of tennis in the U.S. by featuring contributions from African-American players, coaches, and administrators – some broke down barriers; many more have broken records. Every one of them have been an important pillar in strengthening our great game. Many have transcended the sport they helped to build to become true American icons.
