2026-2028 Charlotte Tennis Association Board of Directors and Committees

The Charlotte Tennis Association thrives because of passionate, engaged volunteers who believe in our mission and are willing to roll up their sleeves to make a difference. We invite you to bring your leadership, expertise, and enthusiasm to serve on the Board of Directors and on our Committees.

The Board of Directors selection process is designed to create a diverse team that possesses the full complement of skills necessary to fulfill the mission, strategic priorities and goals of the Charlotte Tennis Association.

The responsibilities of the Board of Directors include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Shaping the future of the Charlotte Tennis Association with long-term strategic thinking.
  • Establishing explicit governing policies.
  • Setting financial goals.
  • Serving as a link between staff and volunteers.

The Charlotte Tennis Association is also looking for individuals who will actively participate on committees and serve as a resource of knowledge in areas such as adult programming, junior programming, event hosting, other areas as designated by the President.

Apply for the Board of Directors  by December 15

Apply for a Committee  by January 5

Applications are welcome from candidates who reside in zip codes within the Charlotte Tennis Association coverage area. The deadline to submit applications for the Board of Directors is December 15. Applicants will receive acknowledgement of their submission, and notification once appointments have been made.  The Charlotte Tennis Association may conduct follow up interviews with prospective candidates prior to appointments. Officers are generally chosen from experienced board members, while at-large board members are usually new to the Board.
