RUN FOR RACQUETS; A VIRTUAL 5K WITH COMMUNITY IMPACT

The Charlotte Tennis Association (CTA) Board of Directors is inviting all tennis enthusiasts to join us in participating in an event sponsored by the Southern Tennis Foundation (STF) – Run for Racquets, a virtual 5K with community impact. For every 5K registration, STF will donate a tennis racquet to the CTA and the CTA Board has agreed to match STF donations up to 100 racquets. Donated racquets will distributed to area schools and after school programs. Click on Read More for more info.

Knowing we can’t all run together at the same time in the same place, the virtual 5K allows you to choose your day and time to run the weekend of February 26-28.

Click on the image below to register to participate. Forward a copy of your confirmation to us at and we will add your name to the list of Charlotte area participants (list below the image).

The event is scheduled to coincide with American Health Month. Tennis is recognized as the top sport for health benefits with studies showing the life-expectancy of tennis players is increased by 9.7 years. Additionally, playing racquet sports decreased the risk of death by 56 percent.
